Mary Burke

Mary Burke is a Franciscan sister living in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
Her interest in icons began when she was working in the middle East in the
Melkite Church. After working in the fields of domestic violence and counselling,
she is now focussing her work on iconography. She loves the interplay of image,
symbol and theology in icons and enjoys exploring these connections while
working on icons.
